About Me
I am a third generation competitive shooter, metalworker and gunsmith. Trained as a toolmaker, I have worked over 48 years in a variety of
shops devoted to precision craftsmanship. Retired from this in 2023 I have devoted my time to gunsmithing. I have been a licensed gunsmith since 1980, carrying on a tradition started in the early 1930's
by my late grandfather, Charles C. Johnson, a riflesmith of wide renown in his day, and my late father, a mechanical engineer who made a
hobby of gun work, building up his own precision target pistols. I am an active competitor in smallbore rifle, highpower rifle, conventional
pistol, and in Scheuzen rifle matches.
I Look forward to discussing your gunsmithing needs
